And I’m putting my zombie Mickey piece “See Ya Real Soon” back up until the end of the month. I had a few interested parties hit me up about it in April, but no one pulled the trigger. So, it’s back up and this will be your very last opportunity to own it before it goes into my personal collection permanently. It’s my first ever finished oil painting after all and I wouldn’t mind holding on to it. This illustration went by real quick so I didn’t really bother doing a process. This guy took about 2 and a half hours. Hope you all enjoy. 9 more to go :)
Time to start another Zombie. What a Zombie dead, then aim for the head.

Next I Created a screen layer and did a gradient from light blue towards a purple. I do this to knock back the blacks. Then I threw a texture of the tombstone and created a new normal layer for detail painting for the face.
Base colors down and on to rim lighting. I lay my base colors down with a single multiply layer over my grayscale. Then I created a layer and painted base highlights for the face. I merged those layers and now I am laying in my first rim light on a separate layer.
Done with the grayscale value study. Tombstone looks pretty bare now. Ill fix that with textures later.
